This is a common misconception, as the algorithm for social media is consistently changing and the guidelines across the platforms are constantly adjusting how they show your content and to what audience. The big question is, does social media even show your content to your target audience? These are key factors to consider when determining what strategies to prioritize when developing your marketing strategy.

One thing I have learned throughout my journey as a Digital Entrepreneur is that social media is a great asset to drive attention to your brand and generate organic traffic but it should never be the primary source of traffic generation to your business. The reason is simply due to its algorithm inconsistencies and its inability to target the right audience you need for your brand. Now, using paid advertising on social media platforms is different as have the ability to tailor your ad to target the right audience using proper keyword placement and implement A/B test to see what strategy is working best for you. Especially if you are just starting and don't have a following paid ads help you grow your audience faster than you would organically.

That is why it is so important to learn how to structure these ads and implement them into your marketing strategy so you can grow efficiently without having to sacrifice your ROI.
